Soft Liner Temporary China
A soft liner Temporary china is a layer of a soft, pliable material that is fitted between the surface of a denture and your oral tissues. It absorbs shock between the hard base of your denture and your gums. Soft liners can be used when creating new dentures or retrofitted into existing dentures. This material is soft but short term (three to six months). I utilize it on immediate denture patients to help with the retention and comfort post-surgically. The plasticizers will keep the liner soft for a number of weeks. But over time the material hardens and will have to be replaced. To clean the lined denture, rinse it under running water and brush it lightly. DO NOT soak the denture in a denture cleaning solution.
With proper application and care, your soft denture liners should last a minimum of three months. If it is adhering properly, comfortable, fitting well and free from bacteria, your liner can stay in your denture. It will be more comfortable for you to apply denture adhesive once the gum tissue has grown over the extraction sites. The plasticizers will keep the liner soft for a number of weeks. However, a very small amount of denture adhesive may be used on the part of the denture that touches the roof of your mouth if needed immediately after the teeth are removed. The tissue conditioner is used in the form of a paste formed by mulling a powder and a liquid material. The plasticizers will keep the liner soft for a number of weeks.
