Description
Product description
In dentistry, Miller Apexo Root elevators instruments are used to luxate teeth. And this technique imparts forces to tooth particles that sever the periodontal ligament around tooth roots inside the socket and expand alveolar bone around tooth particles. Because luxating elevators are thinner and sharper, they are better able to fit in tight apical spaces. And are more efficient at cutting the periodontal ligament. The tooth may then be extracted without thrusting the extraction forceps deep into the PDL space. Preventing damage to the alveolar bone. The latest elevator designs use 3-phase induction motors with variable frequency drive electronic controls. Some may also use a similar system with permanent magnet (brushless) DC motors. The Cryer has a hollow grip handle and is available in several different tip widths.
A special sharpening stone is available, suitable for all Luxator instruments from 1mm peristomes to Forte. To sharpen a peristome, place the concave surface of the tip of the blade on the sharpening stone and stroke away. Lift the blade after each stroke and repeat until the blade is sharp.
